PRAYER - "We Have Access By One Spirit"
Some people ask, "Who should I pray to? The Father? The Son? The Holy Ghost?" "There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5. It is the MAN, Jesus Christ, who revealed the invisible God to us. How? He is the INCARNATION of God - all the fullness of God is in Christ. He is the Image of the Invisible. When you pray to Jesus, you are speaking to the entire Godhead - Father, Son, and Spirit.
Ephesians 2:18 - "For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father."
PRINCIPAL - "The God Of All Comfort"
The Holy Spirit is the Comforter. Since the Holy Ghost overshadowed Mary and conceived Jesus (Luke 1:35), the Holy Ghost is His Father. "The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ" is "the God of all comfort." There is only one Comforter: God! God is only ONE Spirit, not two or three. Furthermore, God is IN Christ, so Jesus is also our Comforter (Matthew 9:22; Mark 10:49).
2 Corinthians 1:4 - "Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."
PRINCIPLE - "As You Suffer For Christ, He Will Console You"
"As the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ." Paul emphasized that God ordained his sufferings, to encourage and console his disciples. "We were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life." The same principle transposed to them. "As ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation."
2 Corinthians 1:9-10 - "We had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver."
PROPHECY - "Our Bodies Will Be Changed To New Bodies"
God created light from darkness; matter from void; roses, tigers, whales and hummingbirds with only His voice. Everything the Hubble telescope has ever photographed - God made it! Every atom ever split by a nuclear cyclotron - God made it! When the angelic trumpet blasts, God's saints will instantly turn into immortal beings and fly into His presence. Never think that God cannot do that.
1 Corinthians 15:52 - "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
