PRAYER - "God Spoils The Godless Ambitions Of Men"
One of the most deceptive "religious" practices is "positive affirmation." It revolves around this concept, "If the mind of man can conceive it and believe it, it can achieve it." There is no God in the midst of such thinking. That is humanistic at its core. It is spiritualist, mind-over-matter arrogance. God will someday come down and destroy everything built on that premise.
Genesis 11:5,9 - "The LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. ...and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth."
PRINCIPAL - "Satan - Deceiver Of Nations"
So you think the Devil is out to get you? Think again. He doesn't want YOU. He will pay any price to lure you, tempt you and entice you to betray God, but as soon as you take the bait, he will dump you like trash and leave you empty and lifeless. He doesn't want YOU. He wants NATIONS! He wants the ENTIRE WORLD. He wants the KINGDOM OF GOD enslaved to him. But he will NEVER have it. Satan is damned.
Revelation 20:3 - "[The angel] cast him into the bottomless pit, ...that he should deceive the nations no more."
PRINCIPLE - "Living And Reigning With Christ"
Jesus said that the thief (Satan) never comes except to steal, kill and destroy. But He added, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly," John 10:10. People who concentrate on fulfilling that "abundant life" in this temporal world have totally missed the point. Abundant life only really begins when He comes back to rule from Jerusalem for 1000 years. Saints will rule with Him then, but afterward, they will live with Him FOREVER in His New Heaven and Earth.
Revelation 20:4 - "...and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."
PROPHECY - "Mark Of The Beast Occurs Before First Resurrection"
The following scenario is called (in verse 5) "the first resurrection." That is enormously significant. THE FOLLOWING people will be in the FIRST resurrection. That means there will be no resurrection before THEY live and die. "Them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, ...which HAD NOT WORSHIPPED THE BEAST, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands." This PROVES that the RAPTURE and the FIRST RESURRECTION will take place AFTER the Mark of the Beast.
Revelation 20:4 - "...and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."

David sought food for his troops from wealthy Nabal, who responded with a vicious verbal assault. David would have killed him, but Nabal's beautiful wife, Abigail, interceded with a generous supply of food and apologies for Nabal's insolence. She prophesied that God would avenge David without his having to shed blood. God killed Nabal, and David married Abigail.
1 Samuel 25:29 "The soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD thy God; and the souls of thine enemies, them shall he sling out, as out of the middle of a sling."
Touch Not God's Anointed
David refused to touch God's anointed, King Saul, even though he was very evil against David. Consequently, God delivered Saul into David's hands, and Saul apologized to David. Immediately thereafter, however, David encountered Nabal, who was churlish, evil, insolent, insulting and railing against David. Amazingly, Nabal had a heart attack and died. Was God quick to avenge David because he had refused to harm Saul? Probably so. Touch not God's anointed.
1 Samuel 25:39 - "When David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be the LORD, that hath pleaded the cause of my reproach."
God Save Me As I Saved You
Ziphites again revealed David's hideout. Saul pursued with 3000 men. That night, David found Saul and Abner in deep sleep from the LORD. Abishai wanted to kill Saul, but David stopped him, refusing to touch God's anointed. Instead, he took Saul's spear and cruse of water. From afar, David taunted Abner for failing to protect Saul. David honored and respected the fallen king. Godly men respect authority.
1 Samuel 26:24 - "As thy life was much set by this day in mine eyes, so let my life be much set by in the eyes of the LORD."
Ziklag
After David got the best of Saul in the wilderness of Ziph, Saul promised not to pursue David any more. But David did not trust him. He fled back to Achish at Gath with 600 men. They stayed there sixteen months. David said to Achish, "If I have now found grace in thine eyes, let them give me a place in some town in the country." Ziklag was David's headquarters until God took Saul out of the picture.
1 Samuel 27:6 - "Achish gave him Ziklag that day: wherefore Ziklag pertaineth unto the kings of Judah unto this day."
