If your going to paint someones picture do it on your knees praying

PRAYER - "It May Be They Will Present Their Supplication"

The LORD told Jeremiah to write all his prophecies in a book. Jeremiah dictated his book to a scribe named Baruch, then sent Baruch into the temple to read it out loud to the people on a feast day while there was a crowd in attendance. The supreme purpose of God's written word is to call us back to Him. If you have read the Bible, yet have not yet repented, you have missed the point!

Jeremiah 36:7 - "It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way."

PRINCIPALS - "The Rechabites"

God ordered Jeremiah to call the Rechabites to a temple chamber and give them wine to drink. Jeremiah prepared wine pots and cups, saying "Drink ye wine." But they utterly refused. Their forefathers had commanded them never to drink wine, never build permanent houses, nor plant permanent crops. The Rechabites faithfully obeyed. The LORD told Jeremiah to reprimand the men of Judah. "They obeyed their fathers, but you will not obey ME!"

Jeremiah 35:19 - "Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for ever."

PRINCIPLES - "Just Obey God. Don't Renege. Don't Revert Back."

Jeremiah prophesied to King Zedekiah that Nebuchadnezzar would take him to Babylon, but would not kill him. Realizing that Judah was genuinely being overthrown, Zedekiah ordered the people to free all slaves and servants to fend for themselves. The Jews released their slaves, but quickly had a change of heart and made

them return. That further angered God, and He heaped more judgments on them.

Jeremiah 34:20,22 - "I will even give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life: and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation."

PROPHECIES - "A Great Whirlwind"

Together, Isaiah and Jeremiah prophesied five times of a coming whirlwind. The term refers to the fury of the Battle of Armageddon. Armies from all nations will clash with Jesus Christ at His coming - like a whirlwind!

Jeremiah 30:23-24 - "Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked. The fierce anger of the LORD shall not
return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it."

Saul's Date With Destiny

The Philistines fought hard against Israel. Many were killed. Archers hit Saul, sorely wounding him. He told his armourbearer, "Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not." Saul took his sword and fell on it, but an Amalekite came along and finished him off. The Philistines cut off his head, stole his armour, and flaunted it when they got home. God rules.

1 Samuel 31:6 - "So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armourbearer, and all his men, that same day together."

God's Timing

God's timing is perfect. If David had not been forced to sever ties with Achish when he did, he would have been drawn into warfare against his own king, Saul. But David was distracted into pursuing the Amalekites who raided Ziklag while the Philistines were overthrowing Saul. Your circumstances may seem convoluted, but God was in control when your circumstances developed.

2 Samuel 1:1 - "When David was returned from the slaughter of the Amalekites, ...a man came out of the camp from Saul with his clothes rent, ...and he said unto him, ...Saul and Jonathan his son are dead."

"I Am An Amalekite"

The messenger told David that he saw Saul fallen in anguish on his own spear. Saul had asked who he was. "I am an Amalekite." "Slay me," Saul demanded. David asked, "How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD'S anointed?" David had him killed then and there. If Saul had obeyed God years earlier, there would have been no Amalekites. Here is a painful lesson. Destroy what God says destroy, or be destroyed by it.

2 Samuel 1:8 - "And he said unto me, Who art thou? And I answered him, I am an Amalekite."

Prayer That Got The Kingdom

Fifteen years earlier, Samuel had anointed David to be the next king. So when Saul died in battle, "David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And the LORD said unto him, Go up. And David said, Whither shall I go up? And he said, Unto Hebron." So David went to Hebron. After suffering many years of demonic opposition, David's prophetic destiny became reality. God will always perform His word.

2 Samuel 2:4 - "The men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah."
