What is wrong with an old song? Nothing, particularly. If it was a good song then, it is probably a good song now. But a new song reflects a fresh relationship, a living connection with the LORD. Experiencing His presence inspires spontaneous singing. The absence of a new song is a bad sign.
Isaiah 42:10 - "Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ...Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, ...let them shout from the top of the mountains. Let them give glory unto the LORD."
PRINCIPALS - "My Servant, Mine Elect"
Nobody will ever accomplish the task that belongs to Messiah (Anointed One) alone. God calls Him, "my servant, ...mine elect, ...I have put my spirit upon him." He will open the eyes of the blind; set prisoners free; bring judgment and truth to earth; not fail or be discouraged; not break a bruised reed (but heal it), nor quench a smoking flax (but renew the flame).
Isaiah 42:6 - "I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles."
PRINCIPLES - "We Have A Savior"
We scarcely know the word savior outside the Biblical context of Jesus Christ. Following ancient typology, our heavenly Joshua will take us across the Jordan into the blessed Promised Land. He will deliver us once and for all from this dreadful wilderness. Now, as then, the people do not, cannot appreciate that their savior has come. Many would pathetically go back to Egypt. Others prefer to settle their camps this side of the river. Holy Child, Jesus, save Your people from their sins!

PROPHECIES - "Shew Us What Shall Happen"
The prophetic word of the LORD cannot be faked. The LORD says to false prophets, "Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods. ...behold, ye are of nothing, and your work of nought: and abomination is he that chooseth you. ...Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? ...there is none that sheweth." Unclean familiar spirits sometimes make short-term predictions accurately, but are deceptive, misleading and evil in the long-term.
Isaiah 41:29 - "Behold, they are all vanity; their works are nothing: their molten images are wind and confusion."
* If you understood everything fully, you wouldn’t need faith, would you? But without faith, it’s impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Because faith and trust must emerge from love, not from a business relationship, a transaction, or some situation in which we have no choice.
* God is a specialist at turning tragedy into triumph and difficulty into joy through the Holy Ghost . Never doubt that God is still in the "miracle-working business" today. God is able to intervene in any impossible situation!
* God has the blueprint to understanding the conflict between good and evil. Satan starts by attacking identity.
* It’s okay to get frustrated when God doesn’t seem to be keeping His promises. He’s working on something big and has not forgotten about you.
* The word spoiled doesn’t mean "made powerless." Jesus plundered the kingdom of darkness. All kingdoms of darkness, evil principalities and evil powers that call earth home lost authority to the blood washed, Spirit filled Saints who have enforce Gods kingdom rule of law on earth.

SING A NEW SONG
