OMBS7/ God’s got an attitude JEFF ARNOLD

PRAYER - "Always Praying For You Because I Have You In My Heart"

"Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, ...because I have you in my heart." Paul, with Timothy, wrote this to the Philippian saints. The secret to being able to pray faithfully and consistently for someone is to have them in your heart. We do not normally pray for those who mean little. But when you love someone, you pray often for them.

Philippians 1:3,7 - "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, ...it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart."

PRINCIPAL - "The Weapons Of Our Warfare"

If the weapons of our spiritual warfare are not carnal, then what are they? How do we defeat unclean spirits and pull down strongholds? 1) "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God." 2) "Bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." 3) Revenge disobedience, while practicing obedience to Christ. Satan cannot defeat anyone who wields holy thoughts, obedience to Christ, and opposition to sin. So, cast down evil imaginations, force your thoughts to obey Christ, and rebuke disobedience.

2 Corinthians 10:6 - "Having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled."

PRINCIPLE - "We Do Not War After The Flesh"

People often make quick judgments about a minister, based on his physical appearance or demeanor. Judging by his outward appearance, some thought that Paul was cowardly, humble or of low self-esteem. But his writings were bold and confident, and he was ready to revenge sin in the Church. Spiritual warfare is not conducted by brute force. A man of God declares and decrees a thing by the authority of God's Word, and that deploys the supernatural power of God, which overthrows adversaries.

2 Corinthians 10:3 - "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh."

PROPHECY - "I Will Come To Visions And Revelations Of The Lord"

Never believe any "Christian" minister who says that signs, wonders and miracles have ceased. There simply is no Biblical Christianity without supernatural elements. God always has, and always will, reveal Himself to His people in supernatural ways: signs, wonders, miracles, dreams, visions, angelic visitations and more. The stories of every major character in the Bible concretely reinforce that fact.

2 Corinthians 12:1,12 - "It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. ...Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds."

Let Your Life Shout

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

- Psalm 14:1

Most of us would never dream this verse could apply to us. After all, we’re believers! We’d never say that there is no God.

But maybe we should think again. It’s true that with our mouths we would never say something like that...but don’t we sometimes say it with our actions?

We say it by sinning just a little here and there and thinking it won’t matter. We’ll go to an immoral movie or have a gossip session about the pastor, ignoring God’s command to the contrary.

With our actions we’re saying, “There is no God.”

Psalm 14:1 connects that kind of thing to corruption. Whether you realize it or not, the more you act that way, the more corrupt you’re going to become.

Don’t make the foolish mistake of publicly proclaiming Jesus as your Lord, and then privately denying Him one little action at a time. Use wisdom in everything you do so that both your heart and your life shout loudly, “My God reigns!”
