PRAYER - "The Amazing Power Of The Word”

In most cases, Jesus healed and delivered the people with nothing more than the spoken word. When Jesus spoke, sicknesses and maladies and devils all vanished. The spoken word of God miraculously penetrates atoms, molecules, living cells, and more. It restructures broken things and purifies evil things, and leaves them well, and whole and free. You can have similar results by speaking the word of God in faith.

Luke 4:36 - "And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out."

PRINCIPAL - "A Prophet - Rejected Treasure"

Supernatural things often go unrecognized because ordinary things camouflage them. Like a prospector panning for gold, you have to have an eye for gems. Be careful not to be distracted by dirt (earthly things), while gold (heavenly things) slips through your fingers.

Mark 6:1 - "[He] came into his own country; ...he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, ...Is not this the carpenter? ...And they were offended at him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house."

PRINCIPLE - "Preachers Must Keep To The Gospel Task"

The disciples had to follow the protocol that Jesus taught them. Go two by two. Take nothing other than a staff for the journey - no wallet, no money, no bread, no extra clothes, and sleep wherever you are offered lodging. The "prosperity preachers" of our time would have a heart attack. But Jesus' message was not about prosperity. It was about reconciling sinners back to God before judgment day.

Mark 6:11 - "Whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, ...It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city."

PROPHECIES - "Jesus Will Separate The Sheep And Goats Forever"

After the 1000-year earthly kingdom of Christ ends, the material universe will "be dissolved," "melt with a fervent heat," (I Peter). Everyone who ever lived will stand before His throne. "Sheep" (righteous) will enter eternal bliss, "goats" (wicked), eternal damnation.

Matthew 25:31-33 - When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, ...the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left."

Keep Quiet

A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards. - Proverbs 29:11

One of the things that you and I as believers must learn if we want to be faithful servants in the kingdom of God is how to keep our mouths shut. Very few of us have mastered that skill. When we get our backs up about something, we think we have to let everyone know about it. “I’m just going to give them a piece of my mind,” we say. Don’t make that mistake. No one wants or needs a piece of your mind—and if you give it to them, you’ll only end up alienating people and bringing harm to yourself. Learn, instead, to keep quiet. This especially applies in the area of spiritual insight. When the Holy Spirit gives you discernment about a situation, don’t go spreading it all over town. If you do, you’ll come to the place where the Lord can’t trust you with revelation and insight into things and situations. I’ve seen that happen. I’ve known intercessors who have received revelations about someone’s weaknesses or needs. They have been given insight into the problem in someone’s life, so they could pray for that person. But, instead of keeping that information between themselves and God in prayer, they told others about it. As a result, they lost their effectiveness as intercessors. Don’t let that happen to you. Develop the quiet art of the wise man, and the devil will find it increasingly difficult to harm your prayer life and ministry to others. Read
