PRAYER - "Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread" This prayer proves again that God does not guarantee us more than one day's food at a time. Remember the manna in the wilderness. Moses warned the Israelites not to horde the food. When they did, it completely spoiled. God does not support hording, gluttony, or selfish excess. But He did promise to supply all our needs according to His unlimited riches. Nevertheless, Jesus taught us to ASK for our daily bread. By making our request daily, we are continually reminded of where ALL our blessings come from. Matthew 6:11 - "Give us this day our daily bread." PRINCIPALS - "Palmerworm, Locust, Cankerworm, and Caterpillar" All four insects mentioned by Joel are voracious creatures that devastate foliage and fruit of trees and vegetative crops. These migratory pests can move into a field, strip it bare, destroy its crops, and disappear. The prophet Joel compared their work to the ruin that the armies of Babylon would leave when they captured the land of Israel.   Joel 1:6 - "For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, ...He hath laid my vine waste, and barked my fig tree: he hath made it clean bare, and cast it away; the branches thereof are made white." PRINCIPLES - "Blow The Trumpet. Sound An Alarm. Warn Jerusalem." "Blow the trumpet in Zion [the heart of Jerusalem]." "Sound an alarm in my holy mountain [Temple Mount]." "Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand." This prophesied war can only refer to Armageddon. "There hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it," (v.2). We are facing Armageddon in the very near future. Do you realize how near? It is nearer than you think! Joel 2:2 - "A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness." PROPHECIES - "Messiah's Immortal Army Will Fight At Armageddon" Here are the important keywords that reveal a supernatural (immortal) army of saints led by Messiah at Armageddon: Thick Darkness. Earthquake. Gloominess. Clouds. A great, strong people set in battle array. Fire devouring before and behind them, leaving a desolate wilderness. The appearance of horses and horsemen. The noise of chariots leaping in the mountains. Running like mighty men, not breaking rank. They shall not be wounded. Nothing shall escape them.  Joel 2:6,11 - "Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness. ...And the LORD [Jesus Christ] shall utter his voice before his army."  God healed Me! Thus saith the Lord; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the Lord; and they [your children] shall come again from the land of the enemy. And there is hope in thine end, saith the Lord, that thy children shall come again to their own border. - Jeremiah 31:16-17

Jesus has redeemed us from the curse. Many of us have been well taught about that redemption where sin, sickness and poverty in our own lives are concerned. But we often fail to realize that redemption has power over the destruction the devil tries to bring on our children's lives as well. Deuteronomy 28 states the curse of the law in verses 16-68. Notice what that curse says about children. "Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand" (verse 32). "Thou shall beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity" (verse 41). Many Christian parents are still suffering needlessly under that curse. Their children are being taken captive by drugs, alcohol and perversions. But it doesn't have to be that way! Since Jesus broke the curse of the law, these parents have the authority in the Name of Jesus to order Satan out of their children's lives. Don't let the devil run roughshod over your children! When you see the first warning signs of rebellion in them, confess the promises of God over them and refuse to give the devil any room to operate. Remember, the children don't understand the unseen forces that are coming against them. So it's your responsibility to stand against those forces on their behalf. Exercise that responsibility. Then take every opportunity to minister love to them. God knows how to deliver your children. Do your part and trust Him to do His. He will bring them back from the land of the enemy!
