Did John preach Jesus' message, or did Jesus preach John's message? Neither. Repentance is the first word in the New Covenant. Jesus said, "Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Sin separates men from God. Just ask Adam and Eve. If you want to see the kingdom of God, you have to get rid of your sins. That begins with recognizing your sins, admitting and confessing them, and asking God to forgive you for committing them.
Matthew 4:17 - "From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
PRINCIPALS - "Transportation And Education In The Last Days"
"Many shall run to and fro." Daniel could never have imagined how accurate that would be in a world with 800 million cars, 50,000 airline flights daily, and nearly two billion airline passengers annually. "And knowledge shall be increased." As of June, 2009, about 1.7 billion people were using the Internet and 350 million students worldwide attended school regularly. Globally, information is growing at about 66% annually, and that rate is accelerating exponentially.
Daniel 12:4 - "Seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."
PRINCIPLES - "None Of The Wicked Will Understand, But Wise Will"
This may be one of the most amazing things in the Bible. A person who walks with God, knows the Word of God, and understands the will of God will recognize and understand the rise of the Antichrist, the Great Tribulation, and events leading to Armageddon. But ungodly people DO NOT HAVE A CLUE! Prophetic events mean nothing - darkness - to ungodly men. RIGHT NOW, STUDY to show yourself approved unto God!
Daniel 12:10 - "Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand."
PROPHECIES - "The Final Destruction Of Israel During Jacob's Trouble"
In Daniel's vision, someone asked the man clothed in linen "how long shall it be to the end of these wonders?" The angel raised both hands to heaven and swore that it would be a time, times, and half a time (42 months or 3.5 years in other related prophecies). The Great Tribulation, or Jacob's Trouble runs from the Abomination of Desolation until Israel is essentially wiped off the map, and Jesus comes with vengeance at Armageddon.
Daniel 12:7 - "When he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished."
Obey Him in the Little Things |
He who is faithful in a very little [thing] is faithful also in much. - Luke 16:10, The Amplified Bible |
Have you ever wanted to take on some really big project in the kingdom of God, but the Lord just wouldn't seem to let you? If so, there's probably a good reason why. You can see what I'm talking about if you'll read about what God did with the children of Israel after He brought them out of Egypt. He wanted to take them on into the Promised Land. But before He could do it, God had to know if they would obey Him. He had to know if they would listen to His voice. Because if they didn't, the enemies they were about to face would wipe them out. So, do you know what He did? He tested them in a small matter. Exodus 16:4 tells us about this simple test. "Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or not." God took a little, insignificant matter—the food they ate—and used it to see if they would listen to Him or not. He told them how much of it to gather, when to gather and when not to, and what to do with it after they brought it in. And the Israelites went right out and violated those instructions. They showed God by their actions that His voice was not important to them. They were not willing to obey even His simplest commands. God works the same way today. Before He sends you on a major mission, He gives you the opportunity to prove you can be trusted with small instructions. But many of us miss that opportunity. We pray, What do You want me to do, Lord? Where do You want me to go? I'll do anything You say. But then when the Lord says, I want you to get up and pray in the Spirit one hour every morning, we fail to obey Him. We say, "Oh yeah, that would be good. I ought to do that." But somehow we never quite get around to it. Don't make that mistake. Start today obeying God in the little things. Let Him see that He can trust you out there in a place of much authority. Let Him know you'll be faithful to His words and to the voice of His Spirit. Once He knows you won't let disobedience wipe you out, He'll start sending bigger assignments your way. |
Great teaching! Boy I need to crack down in my obedience and discipline! Because no doubt these are end times. I want my works to follow my faith!
ReplyDeleteAmen! That was "AWESOME" Brother Ashcraft, your so right. The LORD must TEST us, in order 2 see, if we will be OBEDIENT, in order 2 know 4 CERTAIN, that we will do, that in which HE needs us 2 do and that we will indeed be "FAITHFUL" unto HIM.
