God’s Love

His Love
And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.
– Deuteronomy 28:2

Some people have very low expectations of what God will provide for them materially. They trust Him to feed and clothe them, but they don't trust Him to feed and clothe them very well!
Somehow they've gotten the idea that God's an old miser who will do little more than put rags on their backs and beans on their tables. But that's not what Jesus told us. He said in Matthew 6 that God would clothe us better than He clothed Solomon. That one statement alone proves that God wants to do more than just meet our basic needs. He wants to bless us abundantly. I know that from personal experience.
A few years ago I realized I had collected unknowingly two of every piece of yard equipment. It had been given to me to use by people who'd been blessed by the Lord through this ministry. One day I decided to get rid of a mower that had blown up. As it left another brand new mower came up the hill.
I was baffled. "Lord," I said, ”Why have You given me two of everything. I hadn't asked You for them, and I wasn't believing for them. What are they doing here?"
Then I found this scripture and it Ministered  to me. In Deuteronomy it says blessings shall come on and overtake those who hearken to My voice?
If we will all obey the words of God we will  be overtaken. I’m saying God gave me two of every kind yard equipment just so I could enjoy them? Yes. He also gave me the supplies to build a larger shed. That's exactly what this scripture is saying.
First Timothy 6:17 says, "[He] giveth us richly all things to enjoy." God is a loving Father. He gets great pleasure from blessing His children. He's extravagant where we're concerned. But don't let that worry you. He can afford it.
Once you truly believe that and begin to hearken to His voice, it won't be long before His blessings will be overtaking you.

    A MIRACLE TESTIMONY

No Markings On Your Flesh

God claims the our bodies as His property and gives instructions concerning its appearance. "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD," Leviticus 19:28. Markings, cuttings, tattoos, and piercings, etc. were condemned as the ways of the heathen. Consecrate your body in holiness.

Deuteronomy 14:1-2 - "...ye shall not cut yourselves, ...For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth."

Forgiving Loans And Releasing ServantsGod commanded Israel to forgive loans and release their servants every seventh year. He called it "the LORD'S release." He promised to bless and prosper those who obeyed this law, and to make Israel a lender and not a borrower; a ruler and not a servant, if they would comply. It reminds me of Jesus' words: "My yoke is easy, and my burden is light." In His coming Kingdom, Jesus will release us from all our debts and oppressions. FOREVER FREE - at last!

Deuteronomy 15:1 - "At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release."

The Men Of IsraelGod required the men of Israel to faithfully execute their religious duties three times a year during the feasts of Unleavened Bread, Weeks, and Tabernacles, bringing their sacrifices to the Priests at the Tabernacle. He also instructed them to establish judges and officials in every city, who would judge with just judgment, having no respect of persons, not taking gifts or bribes, nor perverting the words of righteous men, not allowing idolatry in Israel. God is not the God of slackers, but of duty-driven men.

Deuteronomy 16:18 - "Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates."

Transgressing His CovenantChristians love talking about "covenant" as if God's covenant means irrevocable blessings. From the beginning, the covenant was God's promise to bless His people IF they would faithfully love and obey Him. So covenant is a two-way agreement. You owe your part to the covenant. Covenant with God is worthless if you still love the world, the flesh or the devil.

Deuteronomy 17:2-3 - "If there be found among you, ...man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant, And hath gone and served other gods..."
