Let It Unfold

God never planned for Israel to take possession of the entire Promised Land in one conquest. He knew there would be enormous challenges and changes to adapt to, even in God's will. Great victories best come in increments. Therefore, we should not fret when improvements in our lives come slowly. A rosebud must unfold gradually. Any effort to force it open will only destroy it. Relax. Be patient - God is!

Exodus 23:30 - "By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land."

By Little And Little

This prophecy is based on a divine principle. Everything God does is progressive. "By little and little I will drive them out..." is God's daily reminder that HE is giving us the land, and that we are not taking the land by our own brilliance or devices. He truly governs our daily progress, sometimes giving more, sometimes giving less than we expect, but always reminding us that He is the benevolent Master of all things.

Exodus 23:30 - "By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land."

The Body Of Heaven

We are forced to reconcile verses that appear to contradict. Again and again, the scripture says that God is invisible. But the seventy elders saw "the body of heaven in his clearness," on His throne upon a sapphire foundational stone. The key word here is "clearness." They saw a bright shining light representing God's presence. See, The Oneness of God

Exodus 24:10 - "And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness."

The Tabernacle Plan

The Tabernacle plan was as prophetic as anything in the Bible. Virtually everything about the Tabernacle and its furnishings carried a message about the coming Messiah and His plan to redeem men from their sins. If Moses had not followed God's pattern meticulously, a profound message would have been skewed or totally lost.

Exodus 25:8-9 - "And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it."
