There are something’s better caught then taught.

Life is full of choices, we have many to fail just refuse to take failure!
Many opportunities to be sick just don’t choose them!
What choices will make to get to your destination this year.

We need to quit figuring out how to pay for things that we want. God wants us to just believe Him for it, not how to pay for it!

God Meant It Unto Good

Jacob was dead. The family took him to Hebron and buried him in the Cave at Machpelah. The brothers were afraid that Joseph would now avenge himself of their former sins. They appealed to him for mercy. Joseph assured them that he knew God was working for all their good in that horrific experience. We should remember that in our trials.

Genesis 50:20 - "But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive."

Exodus

This book is, at the outset, a biography of Moses - arguably the most significant human being ever born. Without Moses, there would have been no Bible, no Jews, no Christians, no Muslims, and no rule of law as we know it. What man left his stamp on civilization for all time as Moses? Yet, if there had been no burning bush, no voice of God, no leprous hand, no rod changed to a serpent, we would never have heard of Moses. Without God, there had been no Moses.

Deuteronomy 33:1 - "Moses the man of God"

Twelve Tribes

Joseph was the first of the tribal elders to enter Egypt. The eleven brothers came later, in God's time, with their father. The Levites, because they were priests, did not inherit lands, leaving eleven. But Joseph was replaced by his sons, Ephraim and Manasseh. Therefore, the number remained twelve. Twelve seems to be the number of divine government. Israel had twelve Tribes. The Church had twelve Apostles. The city of Heaven has twelve foundations and twelve gates.

Exodus 1:2-5 - "Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. ...Joseph."

The Power Of One

Jochebed was only one person, but salvation for all humanity hung by a thread on her actions. If Jochebed had not saved Moses, he would never have told the world about Abraham, Isaac, Jacob or Joseph. The power of one is inestimable. We are indebted to many "ones." Don't YOU fail!

Exodus 2:3 - "And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink."

Jacob Blesses Joseph And Sons

You can pronounce a blessing on others with special prayer. When Joseph presented his two sons to Jacob, the old man should have put his right hand on Manasseh the older, but instead he switched them. He gave the first blessing to the younger son, just like his own father had done.

Genesis 48:16 - "The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth."

Jacob Prophesies To Joseph

Although God forewarned Abraham that his descendants would suffer bondage for hundreds of years, He never planned for the Children of Israel to stay in Egypt permanently. God raised up a holy nation in the midst of the hostile political climate of Pharaoh, most powerful king in the world at that time. Here is the lesson: This world is not our home. God has a better land for all His children.

Genesis 48:21 - "And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers."

One Portion Above Thy Brethren

Bible scholars suppose that Jacob left Shechem specifically to Joseph. He is, in fact, now buried there. Jacob bought the land when first returning from Laban, but apparently the Amorites took it from him, and he had to retake it by the sword. Today, it is Nablus, a power-center for Muslim extremists in the Middle East. Jesus will retake it following Armageddon.

Genesis 48:22 - "Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow."

Jacob The Prophet

Jacob was a true prophet - a seer. He knew God's working in his own life, but he could also see what God was doing in his twelve sons. The forty-ninth chapter of Genesis records Jacob's prophetic pronouncements on each of the twelve tribes. Reuben will not excel. Simeon and Levi will divide and scatter. In Judah, scepters, lawgivers, and "Shiloh" (Messiah). Everyone received a prophetic word that day.

Genesis 49:1 - "And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days."
