PRAYER - "Fasting And Prayer"

Not enough people practice consecrated fasting anymore. Fasting means you stop eating for a while. Jesus told the disciples that they failed to cast out certain devils because they had not fasted and prayed first. A carnally-minded person is no match for devils. Fasting and prayer corrects the balance of our two natures. Fasting weakens our flesh and our doubtful carnal mind. Prayer enables God's Spirit to work in believers. Fasting weakens and decreases the old man, and prayer strengthens and gives victory to the new man.

John 3:30 - "He must increase, but I must decrease."

PRINCIPAL - "The Word Made Flesh - God In A Body"

The Old Testament heroes never saw God. They only saw the angel of the Lord, or dreams and visions of God. Jesus "declared" (manifested, revealed, showed) God. Jesus was the fullness of God bodily (Colossians 2:9). When you see Jesus, you see the Father (John 14:9).

John 1:14,18 - "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. ...No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, ...he hath declared him."

PRINCIPLE - "Make Straight The Way Of The Lord"

The Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to investigate John the Baptist. John quickly informed them, "I am not the Christ." Then they asked, "Art thou Elias [Elijah]?" "I am not." "That prophet?" "No." Then who? "I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness." Isaiah had prophesied of one who would "make straight in the desert a highway for our God, ... and the glory of the LORD shall be revealed," (40:3,5).  

John 1:23 - "I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord."

PROPHECY - "Angels Confirmed That Jesus' Prophecies Were Fulfilled"

Jesus' mother Mary, Mary Magdalene, and a third Mary (mother of Joses) came to Jesus' tomb with spices, but were shocked to find the stone rolled away, His tomb empty, and two men standing in shining garments. The angels said, "Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again."

Luke 24:8 - "And they remembered his words."

Let It Flow

Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. - John 4:14

Love. Joy. Peace. Patience. Gentleness. Goodness. Faith. Meekness. Temperance. Powerful forces the Bible calls the fruit of the spirit. They’re the character traits of God Himself and when the Holy Spirit came to dwell in you, He brought them with Him, so they could become your character traits too. They’re designed to bubble up inside you, to gush forth like a powerful stream constantly protecting and cleansing you from the inside out. Have you ever noticed that you can’t put any trash in the mouth of a flowing fountain? When it’s shooting that water up, the force of its own outflow protects it and keeps it clear of any impurities from the outside. Well, the spiritual fountain within you works the same way. When you’re allowing the forces of love and joy and peace and gentleness and all the others to flow out, the devil can’t get any of his junk in. How do you keep the spirit flowing? You pump your heart so full of the Word of God that the forces of eternal life start bubbling out. Just a little at first...and then stronger and higher. Choose to keep those forces streaming out of the fountain of your heart. Refuse to let selfishness and sin stop the flow. You have a fountain filled with unbeatable life forces inside you and it’s ready to come forth. Let it flow!

We want to thank the Lord for numerous amount of life changing advents in the past weeks speaking mostly of Eagle Lake Florida.  But now we are gearing up a time with our friends from the San Angelo Texas area.
