Right Relationship

Role of a Husband in Bible click

PRAYER - "I Know The Thoughts I Think Toward You"

NEVER think that God does not want to hear your prayers. Even while in Babylonian captivity, God told His people that He WANTED a right relationship with them! He WANTED them to pray!

Jeremiah 29:11-13 - "I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."  Testimony 40 days of fasting click

PRINCIPALS - "Hananiah - Jeremiah's Vicious Adversary"

Hananiah defied Jeremiah in the temple. "Thus speaketh the LORD, ...I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon." He prophesied the soon return of the temple vessels and Jehoiakim. Jeremiah argued that time would prove the true prophet. Hananiah grabbed the yoke Jeremiah wore, and broke it, prophesying that Nebuchadnezzar's yoke would break in two years. God told Jeremiah to make new yokes of iron to depict Babylon's hard yoke. Jeremiah told Hananiah:

Jeremiah 28:16-17 - "This year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the LORD. So Hananiah the prophet died the same year."

PRINCIPLES - "Some Live, Some Die For The Cause"

There was another prophet, named Urijah, saying the same things that Jeremiah was saying. King Jehoiakim wanted him killed, so Urijah fled to Egypt. Unfortunately, the king sent men to Egypt to bring him back. Jehoiakim personally killed the prophet with a sword, and had his body cast into a commoners' grave. God oversees a unique plan for every man. Urijah had to die. Jeremiah had to live.

Jeremiah 26:24 - "Nevertheless the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, that they should not give him into the hand of the people to put him to death."

PROPHECIES - "After 70 Years, I Will Turn Your Captivity"

Jeremiah wrote a letter to the captives in Babylon - the kings, queen, priests, prophets, eunuchs, princes, carpenters, smiths, and all the other people who were taken in the days of Kings Jeconiah and Zedekiah. He admonished them to build houses, plant gardens, marry wives, bear children, raise families, and seek the peace of Babylon. If they would obey, God promised to bring them back home.

Jeremiah 29:10 - "For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at

Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place."

Here’s another OMBS

In The Name Of The LORD Of Hosts

David refused Saul's armor - the brass helmet, the coat of mail, the sword. He had no experience with them. He preferred his sling and five smooth stones. But David did not trust his sling. He trusted the LORD of Israel's hosts. That will get you the victory.

1 Samuel 17:45 - "Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied."

Jonathan

Saul's son, Jonathan, saw David kill Goliath and became David's friend that day. Jonathan was
also a brave warrior. They were kindred spirits. Our evil, unbelieving generation slanderously accuses them of having a perverse relationship, but the entire Bible opposes that argument. Wicked minds cannot comprehend genuine brotherly love. Jonathan recognized God's anointing on David and was willing to abdicate his own rights to the throne of Israel so David could fulfill God's will.

1 Samuel 18:1 - "The soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul."

A Man's Gift

David was a man of war before he played the harp for King Saul. They introduced him as "cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, ...the LORD is with him." Proverbs 18:16 says, "A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men." David had at least two gifts; great talent and great courage.

1 Samuel 18:5 - "David went out whithersoever Saul sent him, and behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people."

Evil Spirits Prophesy

The word "prophesy" means "to bubble forth, to effervesce." Prophecies flow from spirits, holy and unholy. Holy prophecies come from God. Unholy prophecies come from evil spirits. Not all unholy prophecies are false. Some are true, but have evil purposes. Saul prophesied by an evil spirit, while murdering David was on his mind.

1 Samuel 18:10 - "The evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, ...there was a javelin in Saul's hand. And Saul cast the javelin; for he said, I will smite David."

Early in the morning fully awake laying in the bed a vision came to me. Two winged Angelic beings
of the heavenly kind  stood by me one at my head the other at my feet. With this image in my mind I
then heard a voice from heaven , ‘There  is nothing I will not do for a person that is fully committed to me. Tell my people.’ I began to search the Scriptures and this is what I found. A story of how God rewards a person who  obey Him fully. Please breathe a prayer before clicking here
