PRAYER - "Oh, That Thou Would Rend The Heavens!"

Isaiah 64 is a desperate prayer for the LORD to come. "...rend the heavens, ...come down, ...make thy name known to thine adversaries." Stir up volcanoes to erupt! Make the nations tremble at Your Presence! "Thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence." I pray, "Let God arise, and His enemies be scattered!" The world needs a divine wake-up call!

Isaiah 64:4 - "Since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him."

PRINCIPALS - "The Vineyard That Could Not Die"

God remarked about the irony. "I am sought of them that asked not for me," speaking of the Gentiles. But His beloved Israel rejected Him. "I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people." God was provoked to destroy Israel, but He only punished them, because His ancient covenant still promised them a glorious kingdom under Christ.

Isaiah 65:8 - "As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all."

PRINCIPLES - "Our Righteousness Is As Filthy Rags"

You can lie to yourself until you actually believe you are a good person. But God sees all, hears all and knows all. Sooner or later, you will have to acknowledge that you are a trespasser, and confess it to God, and repent.

Isaiah 64:6 - "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. ...But now, O LORD, thou art our father; ...Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever."

PROPHECIES - "The New Millennial Earth"

This is a delicate subject. Watch carefully. God will cleanse the heavens and earth at the beginning of the 1000-year reign of Christ. Isaiah 65 reveals much of the millennial plan. At the END of the millennium, however, God DISSOLVES all the heavens and earth, and makes all things new. On BOTH of these two separate occasions, God says He will make a new heaven and a new earth.

Isaiah 65:17 - "For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind."
