Happy Resurrection Sunday

Once you’ve made the
Word of God final authority
in your life, your first step
to victory is to rise up over
the attacks of the enemy is
to go to the Word and lay hold
of God’s promises concerning
your situation.

A Choice Of Judgments
God always met David's needs, regardless of his numbers. Numbering Israel meant proudly trusting in his armies - the arm of the flesh. The prophet Gad brought the word of the LORD. David must choose a judgment: famine, war, or pestilence. "Let me not fall into the hand of man." David ruled out war. Let God choose between famine or pestilence. "Let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great." Always trust God.

2 Samuel 24:15 - "So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel, ...and there died of the people ...seventy thousand men."

Repentance Stops The Angel Of Death
God was angry when David spent over nine months numbering his valiant men, exposing his pride, self-trust, and confidence in man. The angel of the LORD destroyed 70,000 men before meeting David at the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite in Jerusalem. David pleaded, "I have sinned greatly in that I have done: ...O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly."

2 Samuel 24:16 - "...the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand."

Moriah - The Temple Mount
God sent Abraham with Isaac to build an altar on a mountain in Moriah. Centuries later, the angel of God met David right there. The prophet Gad instructed David to build an altar there. David purchased the land from Araunah (Ornan the Jebusite). With the purchase, David received oxen to sacrifice unto the LORD. Years later, Solomon built the great Temple, with the Holy of Holies on that site. GOD chose the Temple Mount.

2 Samuel 24:24-25 - "So David bought the threshingfloor and ...built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings."

The LORD Was Intreated
Among David's last words was this statement: "He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God. And he shall be as the light of the morning, ...even a morning without clouds." David was brilliantly aware that leaders must be a shining light to the people. When did you last see your King or President intreating God at an altar?

2 Samuel 24:25 - "David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel."

Happy Resurrection Sunday
God bless you! God may use you to break through to someone who is finally not too busy to listen about Jesus!

Honor God and He'll Honor You
Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
– Proverbs 3:9-10
The book of Proverbs gives us a very basic principle of success. It is this: If you want God to honor you and bless you in any area of your life, you're going to have to honor Him in that particular area.
If you want God to bless you financially, you're going to have to honor Him with your money, or as this verse puts it, with the firstfruits of all your increase. In other words, you're going to have to tithe.
We know that from experience. When we started our life with the Lord, we were in terrible shape financially. And we stayed that way for several years because we failed to tithe consistently. Oh, we tried to tithe, but we'd never last long at it.
Then, one day, we made a quality decision that we were going to tithe no matter what. That's when we started coming out of trouble financially. When we began honoring God with our money by tithing, He began to help us in that area in miraculous ways.
You may say, "Well, Sister and I just can't afford to tithe right now."
But let me tell you, you can't afford not to! If you don't start honoring God with your money, you'll be in the same financial position next year that you're in today.
So do it—even if it looks like you can't afford to. God is faithful! If you'll honor Him by giving Him the 10 percent that belongs to Him, He'll help you with the rest.
Give God His first. Do it in faith, expecting. As you tithe, worship Him and be grateful for what He has already done in your life. You'll be amazed when you see what He can do.

Talk Like God!
Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
– Mark 11:23
Jesus didn't say, "Whosoever shall speak to God about this mountain." He said we should speak directly to the mountain the desired end result.
From a worldly point of view, that sounds foolish. But 1 Corinthians 1:27 explains that God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. It's always going to sound foolish to the world when a Christian talks as if what God has promised is reality, especially when those promises seem to contradict the natural evidence around us. But if you want to keep the enemy defeated, that's the kind of talking you'd better be doing.
The Bible says God Himself talks that way! In Romans 4:17, it says, "[He] calleth those things which be not as though they were." God doesn't wait for circumstances to line up before He speaks. He causes them to line up because He speaks. You can do the same thing if you'll make your words agree with His and speak them out of your mouth by faith.
"But what if nothing happens right away?" you may ask. "What if the circumstances don't immediately change?" When Jesus spoke to the fig tree in Mark 11:14, He didn't go back and check to see if anything had happened to it. No, once He had spoken it, He considered it done.
Follow His example. Let your faith speak. Agree with God's Word!

We could not make a covenant with out Jesus the Christ.
And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. Hebrews 9:15
