OMBS 7 on Audio and Video
Occasional emergencies may make it necessary for us to miss a study, but we should diligently try to avoid such hindrances so we can be in the presence of God. Please consider this reason why you need to take to heart the O M B S 7 audio and video. Christians Must Be Taught and Must Teach Others.
Matthew 5:6 - Faithful disciples will hunger and thirst after righteousness.
Hebrews 5:12 - Christians should become teachers of God's word. If we are not now able to teach, we should be developing the ability. This is expected of all members.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 - We should comfort and edify (build up) one another.
So wonderful that you agree. Now let’s pray before study. Jesus our Lord and God we humbly ask You to forgive us of any short comings and let Your Words penetrate until our hearts burn within us from Your glorious touch. Amen!

PRAYER - "God Hears Everything You Say"
God not only hears your prayers, but also every word you speak. If you pray, God hears you. But if you blaspheme, He hears that, too. God pronounced curses upon the people of Mount Seir because they blasphemed the house of Israel. Guard your mouth and your lips. Anything you say can be held against you.
Ezekiel 35:12-15 - "I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, ...with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them. ...I will make thee desolate. ...O mount Seir."
PRINCIPALS - "Lions And Wolves Ravening The Prey"
God ordered Ezekiel to tell Jerusalem that there was a conspiracy of her prophets, priests and princes; like lions and wolves ravening their prey. "They have devoured souls; ...taken the treasure and precious things; ...made her many widows, ...priests have violated my law, ...profaned mine holy things, ...put no difference between the holy and profane, ...and I am
profaned among them." Their leaders despised God and plundered Israel for personal gain, to their own damnation.
Ezekiel 22:27 - "Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain."
PRINCIPLES - "You Will Eventually Hate Your Sinful Past"
After Israel was polluted and vile from her whorish relationships with her illicit lovers (Assyria, Egypt, Babylon, etc.), "her mind was alienated from them." That meant "severed, dislocated, abandoned." She hated her former lovers. That is the way sin is. At some point, sin becomes
repulsive, repugnant, and distasteful, and you wish you had never got involved with it. Unfortunately, THE JOKER will have to pay the penalty.
Ezekiel 23:28 - "I will deliver thee into the hand of them whom thou hatest, into the hand of them from whom thy mind is alienated: And they shall deal with thee hatefully."
PROPHECIES - "Aholah And Aholibah - Cursed Sisters"
God concluded that both Samaria (capital of the Northern Kingdom of Israel) and Jerusalem (capital of the Southern Kingdom) were both whores. Spiritual whores. God renamed Samaria, Aholah, and Jerusalem, Aholibah. Both names insinuated that they were tents or sanctuaries for idolatry and whoredom. He was incensed that instead of being sanctified unto Him, they had played the harlot with Assyria, Egypt, Babylon and other surrounding nations. Thus, they
condemned themselves.
Ezekiel 23:22 - "I will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy mind is alienated, and I
will bring them against thee on every side."
Personal note :
We may not know all about Heaven, but we do know that one of the main activities there will be worship. Elders, angels, and all those who have washed their robes white in the blood of the Lamb will be serving God night and day. So one thing on earth that is much like Heaven is our worship meetings. Surely worship in heaven will be on a purer and grander scale. But if in this life you do not enjoy praising God, if you begrudge the time spent in Bible study, if you would rather do something other than meet God's people, why would you expect to enjoy Heaven? In fact, if that is your attitude, what reason do you have to expect that you would ever go there? If our devotion to God is not strong enough to get us to even Study a little why should we believe it is strong enough to get us to heaven? People who truly love and appreciate God, will love and appreciate opportunities to worship and serve Him. These are the people who will enjoy Heaven, and they are the ones destined to go there! Steve Jobs once said, "No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it." After death we go to one of two destinations. Either we go to heaven, or we go to hell. Conventional wisdom is that most people are going to go to heaven, and very few people are going to go to hell. Yet that is the very opposite of what the Bible says.
Jesus said, "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it" (Matthew 7:14–14).
A lot of people use the word hell as a way to punctuate a sentence. And in 1841, some people in southeast Michigan chose to name their town Hell. A lot of people think hell is a big joke. But it’s no laughing matter. Hell is a real place in the afterlife that, tragically, is the future destination of far too many people. My desire is to point more people in the other direction, to point them to heaven and into God’s presence.
CONCLUSION: What a proof of our natural depravity! What a change must grace work in us
before we shall be fully like our Lord Jesus, who was incapable of being inoculated by sin, but abundantly able to communicate goodness; for healing virtue proceeded from Him. When shall we become disseminators of holiness by our very presence?
