PRAYER - "Hagar Talked With The Angel Of The LORD"

Because Hagar vehemently despised Sarai, Sarai sent her away. Hagar fled into the wilderness in desperate confusion. An angel of the Lord visited her. She admitted to him, "I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai." God already knew that. Even in the most complicated situations, God is willing to help, if you will cooperate.

Genesis 16:9-11 - "The angel of the LORD said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands. ...I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, ...[thou] shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction."

PRINCIPAL - "The Gates Of New Jerusalem"

Twelve gates will provide passage in and out of New Jerusalem. Above each gate will be written the name of one of the twelve tribes of Israel. There will be three gates on each wall (East, North, South, and West). "The twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl," 21:21. An angel will stand at each gate, opening to golden streets.

Revelation 21:25-26 - "The gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it."

PRINCIPLE - "Nothing That Defileth Shall Enter In"

Politicians are known almost universally as liars. Governments and bureaucracies are infamous for corruption and deception. Earthly kings and heads of state often practice bribery and other dishonest and illicit tactics. But NOT SO in New Jerusalem. Every person in that Kingdom will be pure in heart. EVERYONE will have been washed in the Blood of Jesus and will be spotless, holy saints FOREVER!

Revelation 21:27 - "And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life."

PROPHECY - "Kings And Nations In The New Earth"

New Jerusalem will be the capital of the New Earth. Almighty God, in the body of Jesus Christ, will rule from His Throne in the New Jerusalem. His glory will illuminate the whole earth. Kings and nations will be comprised of born-again, immortal saints from the old earth. This will be the eternal Kingdom of God. 

Revelation 21:24-26 - "The nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. ...And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it."

PRAYER - "Hagar Talked To JEHOVAH"

After the angel of the LORD gave instructions to Hagar, "she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her." The name of the LORD in the 3400-year-old Hebrew manuscript is "JHWH," "Jehovah," which is commonly rendered "LORD" in the Authorized King James Version of the Bible. Hagar believed she had SEEN Him (an angelic theophany). Mohammed and all Muslims, take NOTE: Hagar worshipped Jehovah, NOT ALLAH!

Genesis 16:13 - "She called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?"

PRINCIPAL - "Earthly Jerusalem, Heavenly Jerusalem, New Jerusalem"

There are THREE cities in the Bible called Jerusalem. 1. The EARTHLY Jerusalem, dating back beyond Melchizedek, and still in existence today. It will be greatly expanded and reconstructed by Christ during the Millennium (Ezekiel 40-48). 2. The HEAVENLY Jerusalem, where God now sits on His throne in the company of His angels and souls of departed saints. 3. The NEW JERUSALEM, created for the NEW HEAVEN and NEW EARTH, after the old heavens and earth pass away. All three have vastly different descriptions.

Revelation 21:2 - "I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven."

PRINCIPLE - "The Never-Before-Seen City Of God"

In this old world, the edge of space is only 62 miles above its surface. In the New Earth, the height of New Jerusalem is said to be 1500 miles. Whereas modern commercial aircraft fly at about 30,000 feet (about 6 miles high), the atmosphere of New Jerusalem will be about 1500 miles high. The divinely-created New Jerusalem will be a self-contained city with a never-before-seen eternal, incorruptible environment with its own foundations, walls, light, rivers and more - the Capital of God. The New Earth will be a separate entity.

Revelation 21:5 - "Behold, I make all things new."

PROPHECY - "The Size Of New Jerusalem"

An angel used a golden reed to measure the New Jerusalem. It will be foursquare (cubed: equal length, width, and height). Twelve thousand furlongs measures about 1500 miles square, or 2.25 million square (surface) miles. That is 225 times the size of modern metropolitan Houston, Texas (10,000 square miles, population six million). John stood in a high mountain and saw it hovering above (not attached to) the New Earth.

Revelation 21:10 - "He carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God."
