OMBS7/ Jesus Can Set Them Free

PRAYER - "Watching And Fasting"

If you are a minister of the Gospel, Paul instructs you not to give offense in any thing, "that the ministry be not blamed: but in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God." We must be exemplary in all matters, especially in enduring trials; and we must show ourselves approved in watchings (staying awake in prayerfulness) and fastings (skipping meals) for the good of the ministry. If you will be a great person of God, you must be adept in prayer and fasting.

2 Corinthians 6:4-5 - "In much patience, ...afflictions, ...necessities, ...distresses, ...stripes, ...imprisonments, ...tumults, ..labours, ...watchings, ...fastings."

PRINCIPAL - "A Faithful Wife"

Marriage is supposed to be a lifetime commitment. If you cannot make the lifetime commitment, you should remain single. By the word of the Lord, Paul commanded, "Let not the wife depart from her husband: ...and let not the husband put away his wife." Nothing could be clearer. A man should not send his wife away, and neither should she leave him. If, however, the woman does leave her husband, she must not marry again unless she reconciles with her husband.

1 Corinthians 7:11 - "But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband."

PRINCIPLE - "Each Spouse Has Power Over The Other's Body"

When you marry, you give your spouse authority over your body, and you receive authority over your spouse's body. All conjugal rights are between the two of you. That does not give you the right to abuse or misuse your spouse. You should NEVER be unfair, cruel, threatening or terrifying to your spouse. "Love thy neighbor as thyself" governs marriages, too. Couples should practice mutual and reciprocal love and respect.

1 Corinthians 7:4 - "The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife."

PROPHECY - "One Reward Of Ministry Will Be An Incorruptible Crown"

Paul spoke of his burden for the ministry. "For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward."

1 Corinthians 9:18,23-25 - "What is my reward then? ...this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you. ...they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? ...Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible."

When sickness strikes, it’s wonderful to receive healing from the Lord. But you know what’s even better? Living in divine health all the time.

You want more than a blessing than be a heavier giver, God will raise you up.

Jesus Can Set Them Free

And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

- Matthew 10:7-8

There are those who've said that some of the diseases that are on the rampage right now, diseases such as AIDS, are God's way of punishing immoral people today. There is absolutely no scriptural basis for that!

God does not bring disease on the human race. In fact, if there's anyone in heaven and earth who hates it, it's Jesus. The devil is the one who's trying to tell us otherwise. He's promoting a lie, trying to get us to believe God is the One who's inflicting these diseases on people because he knows that if the victims believe that, it will drive them further from God than ever. And that's his aim.

It's time you and I as believers put a stop to that lie. Some time ago, the Lord spoke to my heart and told me so. He said, Reach out to those who are suffering. Let them know I didn't do this to them. Let them know I'm their Deliverer!

That word was not just for me, it was for the whole Body of Christ. We need to tell people who've been afflicted with AIDS or any such disease that Jesus is Lord over it. We need to tell them that God loves them dearly, and He has the desire and the power to heal them.

God is not responsible for the suffering we're seeing around us. That's just a nasty lie the devil is passing around. And if you and I do our job right, very soon another word is going to start spreading through the streets. The news is going to get out that Jesus Christ is not their captor, He's the One who can set them free!
