PREACH THE GOSPEL

PRAYER - "Give Your Problem to God"

King Hezekiah received a vicious letter from the Assyrian King threatening to take control of Israel. Hezekiah had no might against Assyria, so he took the letter into the house of God and asked God to read the letter. That night, the angel of the Lord killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. God has solutions we can't even imagine.

2 Kings 19:14 - "And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD."

PRINCIPALS - "Lot's Wife"

When God delivered Lot and his family from the destruction of Sodom, the angel instructed them not to look back. Tragically, Lot's wife looked back, and "she became a pillar of salt." Our generation would almost certainly fail that test. When God says, "Come out," He says, "touch not the unclean thing." God does not like to see us yearning for the things He delivered us from. Jesus said those who look back are not fit for the Kingdom. Be warned.

Genesis 19:17 - "Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, ...lest thou be consumed."

PRINCIPLES - "The Quickening"

To "quicken" is to give life to something. The Spirit of Jesus Christ (the Holy Ghost) is the only power that can give you eternal life. If any man does not have the Spirit of Christ in him, the Bible says "he is none of His." Paul instructed the Ephesians to "be filled with the Spirit."

Romans 8:11 -  "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."

PROPHECIES - "Confusion of Tongues"

One of the greatest ironies of all God's dealings with man is the contrast between the tower of Babel and the day of Pentecost. At Babel, God confused their tongues and scattered the people so they could not continue to work together. But on the day of Pentecost, God caused 120 believers to speak in unknown tongues to empower and unify them. What is confusion to man is crystal clear to God.

Genesis 11:9 - "Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth."

God’s Provides He’s More Than Able

Oppose the devil

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

– James 4:7

If you’ve been crying and asking God to run the devil out of your life, stop! The Bible says you’re the one who’s supposed to overcome the devil.

How? By resisting him. By rebelling against him when he tells you to do something and doing what God says instead! When Satan tells you some lie, contradict him with the Word of God. Oppose him. This verse says when you do that, he’ll flee from you. He’ll “run as in terror.”

That means everywhere you go, as you walk in faith and oppose the devil, darkness is pushed back.

So start pushing back that darkness. You can do it! The life of God is within you. Jesus Himself is living inside you. Everywhere you go, He goes. Every problem that rises up against you, every evil spirit that tries to influence your life, is coming up against God when it comes up against you.

All you need to do is become conscious of that. Begin now living your life moment by moment, knowing that the light of God is in you. The Word of God is in you. The Spirit of God is in you.

Live knowing that Jesus, the Mighty God, is in you. Then watch the devil run!

You see, when you put your faith in the blood of Jesus and were born again, the glory of God once again took up residence in you. It may be well-hidden right now, but believe me, it’s in there.

And the Bible says that as you gaze into the Lord’s face by studying the Word and fellowshiping with Him, as you renew your mind to understand who you are in Christ, you’ll be changed into His image on the outside as well. As you learn to hear His voice and obey it, you’ll start giving outward expression of the glory within you. Little by little, you’ll be turned inside out!

Instead of simply staring into your closet every morning, spend some time gazing at Jesus and beholding His Word. Let Him clothe you in His radiant presence. Once His glory starts shining through, anything you wear will look beautiful on you.
