PRAYER - "I Have Lift Up My Hand To The Lord"
You can live and die without acknowledging God if you so choose. You can do as you please and completely ignore God and His will. But Abraham lived and died before the Lord. From his earliest days, Abram made vows to God and lived by them. In a time when no man considered the Lord, that made Abraham the apple of God's eye.
Genesis 14:22 - "Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth, ...I will not take any thing that is thine."
PRINCIPAL - "A New Heaven And A New Earth"
God plans to completely annihilate the old heavens and earth. "I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind," Isaiah 65:17. Stars, galaxies and constellations will disappear (Isaiah 34:4). "All these things shall be dissolved, ...the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements [atoms, molecules, etc.] shall melt with fervent heat," 2 Peter 3:11. The old material universe will vanish. His new spiritual universe will be eternal.
Revelation 21:1 - "I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away."
PRINCIPLE - "ALL Things New"
This should speak profoundly to us. God is going to completely annihilate the old universe. Everything material, from the smallest particle to the largest galaxy will absolutely vanish. The universe will be utterly black and void. Only the Spirit of God and things born of the Spirit will survive and endure for all eternity (in a spiritual HEAVEN AND EARTH). Marvel not that I say unto you, "Ye must be born again." You cannot take ANYTHING with you from here, except the souls you led into His Kingdom.

PROPHECY - "No More Sea"
Charles Spurgeon said, "To John in Patmos the deep waters were like prison walls, shutting him out from his brethren and his work: there shall be no such barriers in the world to come. Leagues of rolling billows lie between us and many a kinsman whom to-night we prayerfully remember, but in the bright world to which we go there shall be unbroken fellowship for all the redeemed family." The New Earth will be glorious and eternal, like nothing we have ever seen.

Few people recognize his name, but he should be infamous. He burned down Solomon's Temple and Palace. He carried away the majority of the Jews to Babylon. Miraculously, Nebuzaradan also delivered Jeremiah from prison. Nebuzaradan recognized a capable Jewish leader named Gedaliah, and made him governor of the sparsely populated land of Judah. He gave the vineyards and fields to the remaining poor, to tend to and live off of them.

PRINCIPLES - "Wise Counsel Is Worth Repeating"
Nebuzaradan appointed a great Jew, Gedaliah, as governor of Judea. That encouraged the remnant who fled, to quickly return. Jeremiah joined with Gedaliah. All along, Jeremiah had admonished everyone to cooperate with Nebuchadnezzar. His was not only prophetic, it was wise counsel, and

PROPHECIES - "The Babylonian Guard Recognized Prophecy Fulfilled"
Nebuzaradan was taking Jewish captives from Ramah to Babylon. Jeremiah was among them, in chains. Nebuzaradan told Jeremiah, "The LORD thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this place. ...because ye have sinned against the LORD." He apparently knew Jeremiah had prophesied it. He removed his chains, and promised to treat Jeremiah well if he came to Babylon, but told him he could stay if he wished."
Jeremiah 40:4-5 - "I loose thee this day from the chains which were upon thine hand. ...So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go."
