PRAYER - "God Spoils The Godless Ambitions Of Men"
One of the most deceptive "religious" practices is "positive affirmation." It revolves around this concept, "If the mind of man can conceive it and believe it, it can achieve it." There is no God in the midst of such thinking. That is humanistic at its core. It is spiritualist, mind-over-matter arrogance. God will someday come down and destroy everything built on that premise.
Genesis 11:5,9 - "The LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. ...and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth."
PRINCIPAL - "Satan - Deceiver Of Nations"
So you think the Devil is out to get you? Think again. He doesn't want YOU. He will pay any price to lure you, tempt you and entice you to betray God, but as soon as you take the bait, he will dump you like trash and leave you empty and lifeless. He doesn't want YOU. He wants NATIONS! He wants the ENTIRE WORLD. He wants the KINGDOM OF GOD enslaved to him. But he will NEVER have it. Satan is damned.
Revelation 20:3 - "[The angel] cast him into the bottomless pit, ...that he should deceive the nations no more."
PRINCIPLE - "Living And Reigning With Christ"
Jesus said that the thief (Satan) never comes except to steal, kill and destroy. But He added, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly," John 10:10. People who concentrate on fulfilling that "abundant life" in this temporal world have totally missed the point. Abundant life only really begins when He comes back to rule from Jerusalem for 1000 years. Saints will rule with Him then, but afterward, they will live with Him FOREVER in His New Heaven and Earth.
Revelation 20:4 - "...and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."
PROPHECY - "Mark Of The Beast Occurs Before First Resurrection"
The following scenario is called (in verse 5) "the first resurrection." That is enormously significant. THE FOLLOWING people will be in the FIRST resurrection. That means there will be no resurrection before THEY live and die. "Them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, ...which HAD NOT WORSHIPPED THE BEAST, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands." This PROVES that the RAPTURE and the FIRST RESURRECTION will take place AFTER the Mark of the Beast.
Revelation 20:4 - "...and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."

God gave Samuel an open vision of His will for Israel. Israel knew him as their seer. Saul was looking for a seer to help him find his father's lost donkeys. Samuel was looking for a Benjamite about whom God had informed him the very day before. The two came together by divine arrangement. Saul found his donkeys, and Samuel found his king.
1 Samuel 9:18 - "Then Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, where the seer's house is. And Samuel answered Saul, and said, I am the seer:"
God Chooses Saul As King
The LORD told Samuel, "To morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be captain over my people Israel," 1 Samuel 9:16. When Saul arrived, the LORD said, "Behold the man whom I spake to thee of!" God will not always work His will so obviously, but He will always be in control.
1 Samuel 10:1 - "Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?"
Samuel Prophesies To Saul
After anointing Saul, Samuel prophesied signs that would prove God was with him. Two men at Rachel's tomb would tell him that his father's donkeys were found, and that his father sorrowed for him. At Tabor, three men traveling to Bethel would give him two loaves of bread. Past a garrison of Philistines, a company of prophets would prophesy and play instruments.
The Spirit of the LORD would come upon him. He would prophesy and be turned into another man. Lesson? God confirms His word with signs!
1 Samuel 10:9 - "...all those signs came to pass that day."
A Kingdom Is Born
Samuel called Israel together to inaugurate King Saul, but he could not be found. "Therefore they enquired of the LORD further, if the man should yet come thither. And the LORD answered, Behold, he hath hid himself among the stuff." They searched and found him. "See ye him whom the LORD hath chosen." The people shouted, "God save the King!" Saul was reluctant to serve, but Samuel drafted the first national constitution, and the Kingdom of Israel was born by a divine mandate.
1 Samuel 10:25 - "...Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom, and wrote it in a book."
