PRAYER - "To It Shall The Gentiles Seek"
Among all the great Messianic prophecies of the Bible are many announcements concerning His coming kingdom on earth. Isaiah called Messiah both the Root and Branch of Jesse. He is the hope of all Israel. But Isaiah made an even greater pronouncement. The Gentiles (non-Jews) would also turn to and seek after Messiah. Jesus is the answer to the whole world's problems.
Isaiah 11:10 - "And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious."
PRINCIPALS - "The Remnant"
A remnant is a part left over after a greater part has been removed. A residue is the remains at the end of a process. God will always have a remnant, a residue of His people. When God cursed Satan in the Garden of Eden, He promised that a seed of the woman would bruise Satan's head. A remnant of that holy seed must perpetuate until Satan is defeated. Not to worry. That day is not far away.
Isaiah 10:22 - "For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return."
PRINCIPLES - "Messiah Will Have A Seven-fold Anointing"
In Revelation 5:6, the Lamb of God had "seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God." Isaiah prophesied Messiah's seven-fold anointing: Spirit of the LORD; Spirit of wisdom; understanding; Spirit of counsel; might; Spirit of knowledge; and of the fear of the LORD.
Isaiah 11:1-2 - "...a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD."
PROPHECIES - "The Last Consumption - Armageddon"
In Moses' day, God warned Israel that if they "despise my statutes, ...abhor my judgments, ...not do all my commandments, ...break my covenant," He would put terror and consumption upon Israel (Leviticus 26:15). Again, in Deuteronomy 28, He threatened to "consume" them from off the land. The battle of Armageddon will be the last cleansing, performed by Jesus Christ, prior to the restoration of all things.
Isaiah 10:17 - "And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day."
